Have you read about the secretary’s authority?

Do you realize the wording in one version of the “Horse Slaughter” bill includes giving the secretary (no indication of who this will be) the authority to confiscate your horse if they deem the horse is sore?

What is sore?     The bill doesn’t specify this information.  So, does this mean if your horse bumps a leg coming out of the trailer and holds it in the air for a few seconds -  you could lose your horse?   

If you load a horse and head for the Vet can they stop you on the way?   Can they take your horse away from you?

Livestock owners unite!

We have set on our laurels long enough!   

Has anyone acutally read the entire bill proposal in front of our congressional representatives?    There is so much tacked on that will effect us even more than the closing of slaughter plants!

Livestock producers in general -  DO YOU REALIZE what has happened?   The person(s) behind pushing this slaughter bill through will have a foot in your door next!
